YORK- Lois L. (Miller) Nicholas, 65, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center. She was the wife of Terrance M. “Terry” Nicholas to whom she was married for 46 ½ years. Due to COVID-19, there will be no public celebration of life service. The service will be livestreamed at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 on the Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. Facebook page at www.facebook.com/heffnertributes A public visitation will be held at a later date. Born on March 23, 1955 in York, she was a daughter of Wilmer and Shirley (Black) Miller of York New Salem. Lois received her Bachelor’s of Science in Education from York College and went on to teach elementary students with the Eastern York School District for 33 years until her retirement. Mrs. Nicholas enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and cruising. She was also an avid reader and avid greeting card maker. Lois was a member of White Rose Chapter #360 Order of the Eastern Star. Along with her husband, Terry, Lois is survived by her daughter, Courtney Taylor and her husband, Jason of York; son, Andrew Nicholas and his wife, Jessica of Gettysburg; three grandchildren, Junith Nicholas, Juliana Nicholas and Charlotte Taylor and one grandchild on the way; sister, Keena Miller of York; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
