Lois J. Millar

YORK- Lois J. (Senft) Millar, 89, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2018 at Broadmore Senior Living in York. She was the wife of Richard B. Millar. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Her pastor, The Reverend Brendan Hock will be officiating at the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Millar was born in York on January 16, 1929, the daughter of the late Benton A. and Dorothy M. (Myers) Senft. She worked as a teacher aid and secretary at Ore Valley Elementary School and retired from York Township Elementary School where she worked as a secretary. Mrs. Millar was a member of Chapel United Methodist Church in Red Lion, where she sang on the choir. She was a member of United Methodist Women and volunteered at the Salvation Army. Mrs. Millar leaves a daughter, Pamela S. (Millar) Eberly and her husband Craig of York; a son, Richard B. “Rick” Millar of York; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benton Senft, II.
