YORK- Lois I. Wallick, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Pleasant Acres in York. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at Fairmount United Methodist Church, 5847 Furnace Rd. in Highmount, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be private in Highmount Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Miss Wallick was born in York on June 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Miriam H. (Armold) Wallick, Sr. She retired in 1992 from Schrivner's, formerly P, A & S Small in York. Miss Wallick was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years, sang in the choir, and was involved with various church ministries. She enjoyed taking walks and hiking with her grandchildren. Miss Wallick leaves a daughter, Linda S. Grim and her husband William of Emigsville; four grandchildren: David Hall and his wife Trena, Jennifer Smith and her husband Todd, Russell Hall and his wife Jackie, and Jody Hall, and ten great grandchildren: Ashley, Kary, Hannah, Ariana, Emily, Sara, Kasey, Destinee, Karson, and Becca. She also leaves four brothers: Kerwin Wallick of Columbia, Lloyd Wallick, Jr. of Boise, Idaho, Minzie Leister of East Prospect, and William Leister of Hellam, and three sisters: Annabelle Vecero of Hellam, Joan Paxson of Manchester, and Doris Crowl of Dover and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Griffin and Julia Wallick and a brother John Beck. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount united Methodist Church, Pleasant Acres, or Alzheimer's Association Greater PA Chapter.
