BROGUE- Lois G. (Arthur) Smith, 84, died on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at The Haven at Springwood. She was the beloved wife of James E. Smith to whom she was married for 65 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Born on July 23, 1937 in Roanoke, VA, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Sally (Witt) Arthur. Lois was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith loved dancing and was active with many local pet rescue organizations, mainly cats. She and her husband lived at Sneads Ferry, NC for 25 years. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Along with her husband, James, Lois is survived by three daughters, Deborah Quackenbos and her husband, Art of Brogue, Tracy Smith and her husband, Bruce of Macungie and Dr. Patty Coker-Bolt and her husband, Dr. Rick Bolt of Charleston, SC; three grandsons, James Lewis, Daniel Quackenbos and David Quackenbos; step granddaughter, Mary Sweeney; and her brother, Roger Arthur of Roanoke, VA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Freida Gross and Joyce Goad; and brother, Robert Arthur. CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
