Lois Ferne Sprenkle

RED LION – Lois Ferne (Reider) Sprenkle, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Lois was married for 67 years to the late Earl S. Sprenkle and was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Baker) Reider and Alvin Reider. She was mother of Chris and wife Valerie Sprenkle and Gary and wife Kay Sprenkle; had three grandchildren, Stacey and husband Jeff Beaverson, Corey Sprenkle and Rob and wife Pam Hardy; five great grandchildren, Katelyn Beaverson, Nicole and husband Matt Knisley, Megan Beaverson, and Luke and Caleb Hardy. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mohr and Norma Wise, as well as, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sprenkle was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Reider; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce (Smith) Sprenkle, the mother of Stacey and Corey. Lois retired from the New Era Die Co. after 25 years of service. She was a faithful member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion; was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Amaranth Eastern Star. She and Earl traveled the world; France, Monaco, Italy, Aruba, South America, Canada, Nova Scotia and Hawaii. However, her priority was always her family. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion with The Rev. Chuck Sprenkle officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the Church.
