Lois E. Demmitt

Chambersburg—Lois E. (Frey) Demmitt, 73, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late David A. Demmitt. A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held at privately at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born January 21, 1947 in York, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Mary M. (Knaub) Frey. She was employed at Simon’s Photography for several years and later worked as a housekeeper with the Yorktowne Hotel. Lois enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Golden Agers in Chambersburg. She is survived by two sisters, Flossie Myers of Chambersburg and Nancy Poeschl of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Richard Frey of York and Preston Frey of Maryland and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
