Lois (Carroll) Miller

WILKES-BARRE-Lois Miller, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, May 19. Born Ruth Lois Carroll in Forty Fort on May 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Esther Mae (Sippel) Carroll. She was a graduate of Kingston High School and attended Wyoming Seminary Business School. She was a former member of Forty Fort Presbyterian Church She was formerly employed by P.G. & W and later by Blue Cross, until retiring in the 1990's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester W. Miller, who passed away June 18, 1985. Surviving are her son, David Miller, Wilkes-Barre; daughter Diane M. Molnar, Hanover Township; grandchildren Bernadette Martin and her husband, Donald and Jessica Cowell; cousins Donna Sue Smith, Cindie Hayes and Barbara Swift; companion, William Chalker. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Anita McGowan, Chaplain of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Crest Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
