Lloyd H. Rittenhouse, Sr.

WILKES-BARRE-Lloyd H. "Wig" Rittenhouse, Sr., 51, of Wilkes-Barre, died Friday, January 5, 2007, at his home. Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Thelma M. (Turcan) Rittenhouse. He worked as a mechanic for Harris Muffler, Wilkes-Barre. In addition, he worked in his own garage, Wiggy's. He had a passion for cars, cooking and collecting Hot Wheels and Pez dispensers for his two grandsons and HIS GARAGE. He will be missed by Sandy, with whom he resided for 26 wacky, wild and wonderful years. "My Old Man". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy and sisters, Dolly, Maxine, LaVerne and Lorraine. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Pocius; a son, Lloyd H. Rittenhouse, Jr., and his fianc裬 Chrissy, Wilkes-Barre; daughter Mandy and her fianc裬 Mike, Wilkes-Barre; grandsons, Michael and Lloyd III; brothers Thomas and his wife, Ernestine, Edwardsville; George and his wife Diane, Wilkes-Barre; Robert and his wife, Gayle, Kingston; Lester and his wife Anna, Wilkes-Barre; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Carol E. Coleman will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
