Lloyd E. Himes

LOCK HAVEN - Lloyd E. Himes, 75, of Castanea passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in DuBois a son of the late James and June (Heverley) Himes. He was married to the former Margaret L. Miksich. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together. Lloyd worked at the Huntingdon Correctional Facility as a corrections officer retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed outdoor activities especially gardening. Lloyd served in the Air Force from August 6, 1958 to December 28, 1961. Surviving are his wife; one son Ryan Himes of Lock Haven and two daughters Sherri (Tom) McKinney of Avis and Dana Himes and her companion James Schoonover of Jersey Shore. Two grandchildren Matthew and Haley and one great granddaughter Jocelyn. One brother Dale Himes and two sisters Donna Millan and Wanda Lockwood all of DuBois. He was preceded in death by a sister Lois Adamson. A visitation for family and friends will be held from noon – 2:00 p.m., Friday, Sept., 11, 2015 at the Helt Funeral chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Interment will be private.
