Linster G. Riggs

YORK- Linster G. Riggs, 79, died on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Marie P. (Nadeau) Riggs to whom he was married for 54 years. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. All current COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Born on December 2, 1941 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Linster and Ella (Hickman) Riggs, Sr. Lin was an IT Analyst for the U.S. Government for 35 years until his retirement. Mr. Riggs served our country in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War. Mr. Riggs was a member of the Dallastown American Legion Post 605, Hawk’s Club and Victory Club. He loved history, especially the Civil War, cooking, playing golf, reading and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Along with his wife, Marie, Lin is survived by two daughters, Julie Labra of Hanover, MD and Stephanie Williams and her husband, Patrick of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Nicole Labra, Madalyn Labra, Brannon Labra, Adan Labra, Evan Williams, Collin Williams and Ella Williams; and sister, Patsy Wood of Daytona Beach, FL.
