Linda Lee Ruppert

YORK- Linda Lee (Sutton) Ruppert died on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Lee Ruppert. The couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on September 27th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Reverend Kelly Schifflet officiating. A visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Born on July 13, 1947 in York, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Daisy H. (Ludlow) Sutton. Linda was a paint inspector at Harley Davidson until her retirement. Mrs. Ruppert was a member of the Liberty Social Club, Vigilant Social Club and Del-Phia Athletic Association, Inc. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling to the mountains with her husband. Along with her husband, Thomas, Linda is survived by one son, Michael Bortner and his wife, Kelly of York; three step sons, John Ruppert and his wife of York, Joe Ruppert and his wife, Terri of Strinestown and John Ruppert and his wife, Glenda of Strinestown; three stepdaughters, Linda Albright and her husband, John of Dover, Julie Francis and her husband, Guy of Middleton and Thomasina C. Coccie; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, George V. Sutton and his wife, Leslie of York, Warner W. Sutton of Red Lion and Kenneth L. Sutton and his wife, Jane of Forida; and one sister, Esther Moose of Mt. Wolf. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester R. Sutton and Charles W. Sutton; and one sister, Mary Lowther.
