Linda L. Hamrick

RED LION- Linda L. “Lynne” Hamrick, 69, of York Township passed away on January 31, 2020 at her residence. Ms. Hamrick was born in Webster Springs, WV on May 25, 1950, the daughter of Phyllis J. (Bruffey) Hamrick and the late Hilbert W. Hamrick. She worked as an engineering assistant at Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies and retired from Lucent Technologies in Hunt Valley, MD after 37 years of service. Lynne was a 1968 graduate of Bel Air High School in Maryland. She enjoyed volunteering at Beachmont Christian Camp in Kingsville, MD. Lynne's love of reading informed her spiritual life and guided her artistic endeavors. Her broad reading list included spiritual books, mysteries and extensive study of various artistic disciplines with particular focus on photography, drawing and watercolor painting. Lynne loved to express herself through writing and watercolor painting. Lynne traveled extensively throughout the United States and occasionally abroad. Her favorite places included the peaceful serenity she found within nature and far-flung adventures she took with her family including trips to a good number of State and National Parks, St. John (U.S. Virgin Islands), Cape Cod, the west coast of Ireland, the townships of the Hudson Valley, and nearly every county in Northern California. Wherever Lynne was, she walked with the Lord and always pursued a closer relationship with her Savior. Along with her mother, Lynne leaves a daughter, Karri Joy Ving and her husband, Matthew Madden of San Francisco, CA; a brother, H. Wayne Hamrick; and two sisters, Lois Hamrick and Lori Hamrick. Services will be private. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting the family with the arrangements.
