MILTON - Linda L. DiRocco, 65, died on Wednesday, February 04, 2009 at the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Linda was born on January 21, 1944 in Lewisburg, and was a daughter of the late Joseph T. and Angelina (DiNatale) DiRocco. She was a graduate of the Milton Area High School, attended Syracuse University and graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College. She had worked at the Milton Standard Journal and Sunbury Daily Item, taught English for York Central High School and was an inventory specialist for the Dept. of the Navy in Mechanicsburg. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, sang with the church choir and sang with the El Shaddai Singers. She enjoyed her nieces and nephews, arts and crafts and enjoyed playing the auto harp and guitar. Linda is survived by one brother and sister-in-law; Joseph A. and Virginia DiRocco of Rockledge, FL, one sister; Marie A. Ford of Timonium, MD and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law; William Ford, Sr. There will be a public viewing 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton with the Reverand Joseph Fennessy officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 65 East Elizabeth Avenue, Suite 502, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
