YORK – Linda L. (Batts) Bouch, 74, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at York Hospital. She is the wife of Robert A. Bouch to whom she was married for 41 years. Born November 20, 1947 in Washington, DC; a daughter of the late Walter Ray and Hilda Margarette (Schaeffer) Batts; she was a graduate of Wayne Community College and earned her Nursing Home Administrator’s License through York College of PA. Linda worked the majority of her career at York County Nursing Home where she retired as CFO in 2003. During her retirement she worked as a Nursing Home Administrator and Financial Specialist Consultant with Qunique Corp. She had served as Past Secretary and Treasurer of American Business Women’s Assoc., Past President of both The NC Assoc. of Educational Personnel and ISIA Figure Skating Assoc.; was a past member of Southern Assoc. of Colleges and Schools, NC Inmate Labor Committee; and Past Chairman of Fiscal Officers for PA Assoc. of County and Affiliated Homes. In addition to her husband Robert, Mrs. Bouch is survived by two sons, Aaron R. Bouch of York, Christopher A. Bouch of Glen Rock; two daughters, Monica L. and husband Jeffrey Pitzer of York and Tamra M. and husband Matthew Scott of Charleston, SC; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Brittney, Bennett, Blake, Jacob, Paris “Grey”, Alexis, Tatum, and Brice; two brothers, Gilbert and wife Patricia Batts and Robert and wife Dana Batts both of Virginia; and a sister, Dian Parkinson and husband Ron Guiliano of California. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Batts. Linda loved her children and grandchildren deeply. When her children were younger, she was the carpool queen, their biggest cheerleader and her home was the hang out house where all would gather. Her text messages were legendary. She was the most spirited and kind hearted person. Linda was also a devoted animal lover. She could not resist a fury friend in need. She leaves behind her dogs Winnie and Tinker Bell and her cat Baby Boy.
