Linda L. Bockhoefer

YORK – Linda L. (Jones) Bockhoefer, 85, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Siegfried H. Bockhoefer to whom she had been married for 60 years.

Born June 10, 1938, in York, she was a daughter of the late Dwight and Helena (Sherman) Jones. Mrs. Bockhoefer graduated from North York High School in 1956 and shortly after, began studying at York Hospital’s Nursing Program to become a registered nurse. For most of her working life, she was a registered nurse for private practices. Outside of work, Linda was a crafter, enjoyed sewing and knitting, was a great cook, and took pleasure in gardening.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Erika L. Snyder of York, Lauri Norbeck of New Cumberland, Steven Bockhoefer, and Edward Bockhoefer of Winter Garden, FL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Hoff of Dover.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
