Linda L. Altland

YORK- Linda L. (Duncan) Altland, 71, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lester S. Altland. A celebration of Life service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 6-7:30 p.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be at noon on Wednesday at Susquehanna Memorial Garden in York. Mrs. Altland was born in York on May 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Howard Heaps Duncan, Jr. and the late Jacqueleen Lois (Reichard) Wilson. She retired as a Registered Nurse after 32 years of service. Mrs. Altland previously attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in York. She was a 1968 graduate of York Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of York Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, and the Association of Rehab Nurses. She touched many peoples lives in her nursing career. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed many different types of arts and crafts. Mrs. Altland leaves a daughter, Michelle Lyn Altland of York; a granddaughter, Heather Lyn Marie Gibbs; a step brother, Donald Rebert, Jr.; and a step mother, Naomi D. Duncan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Geary H. Duncan and her step father William S. Wilson Sr. .
