Watch Video Tribute CHANCEFORD TOWNSHIP- Linda Jean (Nelson) Diehl, 62, of Felton died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of Charles Wayne Diehl. The couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on August 14, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. at St. John's (Blymire's) United Church of Christ, 1009 S. Blymire Rd., in Dallastown. Her pastor, The Reverend Curtis R. Weber will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Diehl was born in Norfolk, Nebraska on April 16, 1947, a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel I. (Owens) Nelson. She was previously a secretary for St. John's (Blymire's) United Church of Christ and enjoyed taking care of children. Mrs. Diehl was a member of St. John's (Blymire's) U.C.C. in Dallastown. Mrs. Diehl leaves a son, Michael Charles Diehl and his wife Kim of York; two daughters, Kelley Marie Kauffman and her husband Tim of Red Lion, and Laurel Jean Diehl of Felton; two grandchildren, Katie Ann Diehl and Cameron Michael Diehl; a brother, Richard D. Nelson and his wife Jean of Red Lion; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's (Blymire's) United Church of Christ, 1009 S. Blymire Rd., Dallastown, PA 17313 or Asera Care Hospice, 44 Bowman Rd., York, PA 17404.
