MANCHESTER - Linda Jean (Baublitz) Grim, 69, died at 8:48 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at York Hospital. She was the wife of James R. Grim with whom she celebrated a 40th wedding anniversary on November 11th. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be 5:30 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with The Rev. Steven M. Livermore, pastor of Pleasureville United Methodist Church, officiating. A visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 Monday at the chapel. Born in York on May 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Henry and Anna Mae (Keller) Baublitz. Linda was a 1961 graduate of York Suburban High School. She began working in the Laundry Department of York Hospital in 1965 as a secretary and was promoted to Supervisor in 1971. In 1978 she transferred to the Emergency Department as a Unit Secretary and maintained that position until retiring in 1986, after 20 years of service. In 1988 she and her husband, Jim, purchased York Divers, a PADI training and full-service Scuba Diving facility located in the rear of the Colonial Shopping Center, South George St. For more than 20 years, Linda and Jim, along with their highly qualified staff, provided the thrilling sport of Scuba Diving and the discovery of the abundant beauty of our underwater world to the patrons of their store. In addition to her husband, Linda leaves her brother, Robert David Baublitz and his wife, Diane of Dillsburg; her sister-in-law, Sherry Brenneman Baublitz of Manchester; two aunts, Nancy Berry and husband, Dean of York and Doris Keller of Manassas, VA; two nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Henry Baublitz on August 9, 2005 and George Charles Baublitz on June 9, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 724 S.
