WRIGHTSVILLE-Linda Diane (Dettinger) Aller, 54, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at York Hospital after a 13 month battle with breast cancer. She was the loving wife of Michael Andrew Aller, to whom she was married for 32 years. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with certified celebrant Betty Frey and the Rev. Ersel Staples officiating. Viewings will be held, 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Aller was born June 16, 1955, in York, a daughter of the Richard Eugene and Esther Mary (Myers) Dettinger, and was a 1973 graduate of Red Lion High School. She was a former employee of Yorktowne Cabinets, working there for six years and Harley-Davidson, where she worked for four years. Linda was a U.S. Airforce Veteran. Linda enjoyed riding her motorcycle with her husband while getting lost on the back roads; being out in the sun and trips to Ocean City, Md., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.; riding horses; weekly dinners at Texas Roadhouse; and discovering the best crab cake and pina coladas. She was inseparable from her family and loved her grandbabies very much. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who enjoyed life to its fullest. In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by three daughters, Jamie Michele Beaverson and husband, Eric K. of Red Lion, Misty Dawn Fauth and fiancee, Brian L. Macklin of Wrightsville, and Amanda LaShon Aller and companion, Jason R. Noll of York; four grandchildren, Isaiah and Kailey Fauth, and Alissa and Zachary Beaverson, and was also given the honor of naming her grandchild that is soon expected; two step-grandchildren, Damion and Jasmine Macklin; her Rottweiler, Bently; two brothers, Johnny Lee Dettinger and wife, Connie of Wrightsville, and Lonnie Edward Dettinger and wife, Jeri of Dallastown; a sister, Elizabeth 'Betty' Dettinger of Red Lion; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center of Apple Hill Health Campus, York.
