YORK- Lillian V. (Breeden) Brenner, 89, died on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Glenn L. Brenner. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at West York Church of the Brethren, 5101 Darlington Rd., York with Pastor Gregory L. Jones officiating. A viewing will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at church. Burial will be private at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on October 5, 1928 in York, she was a daughter of the late Henry E. and Emma F. (Racer) Breeden. She was a 1946 graduate of East Berlin High School. Lillian was a production worker for Bon Ton Food Service, Inc. for over 25 years until her retirement. Mrs. Brenner was a member of West York Church of the Brethren where she served as a Deacon for 50 years and served on numerous other committees. Lillian loved her church family. She also loved baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and celebrated life and shared her love beyond her family as well. Mrs. Brenner is survived by one son, John Brenner and wife, Susan of York; two daughters, Jayne Dettinger of York and Joyce Whitcraft and husband, F. Thomas of New Freedom; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Breeden and wife, Faye of York and David Breeden and wife, Cindy of Spring Grove; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Schatz and her loving son James Brenner of York passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2017. The funeral service for Lillian will also include a memorial service for Jim. In lieu of flowers for Lillian, memorial contributions may be made to West York Church of the Brethren, 5101 Darlington Rd., York, PA 17408
