Lillian A. (Mcgonigal) Probst

FARRANDSVILLE - Lillian A. "Till" (McGonigal) Probst, 80, died on Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Williamsport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank C. Probst who had died in 1980. Lillian was born on November 27, 1927 in Colebrook Twp. and was a daughter of the late Harry and Emily (Mock) McGonigal. She had worked at Sylvania in her early years and then worked at the Lock Haven Hospital and retired after 31 years of service. She was a life long member of The Peoples Church of Farrandsville, lifetime member of the Moose, member of Sons of Italy, American Legion, VFW and the Castanea Fire Hall. Early in her life she was very active in the church and township functions. She enjoyed outdoor activities, building jigsaw puzzles, playing solitaire and watching television. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Frank W. "Jr." and Patty Probst of Lock Haven, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one brother; William W. McGonigal of Lock Haven and one sister and brother-in-law; Ruby C. and Donald W. Frankenfield of Salona. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son and one sister; Doris Harrington. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, PA with the funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Sharon G.
