Levere D.F. Overmiller, Sr.

YORK - Levere D.F. Overmiller, Sr., 84, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Anna G. (Haas) Overmiller to whom he was married for 62 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 6, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor, Benny B. Ortiz officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born February 2, 1926 in York Twp., a son of the late Carl and Mae (Trout) Overmiller, he retired from Teledyne McKay in 1989 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God and was a life member of Springettsbury VFW Post 5865. Mr. Overmiller was a US Navy veteran of WWII. In addition to his wife, Mr. Overmiller is survived by two sons, Levere D.F. Overmiller, Jr. and James M. Overmiller both of York; four grandchildren; two brothers, Reynolds Overmiller of Middletown and Norman Overmiller of York; and a sister, Betty Zerbe. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Kenneth Overmiller.
