Lester E. Blouse

HELLAM- Lester E. Blouse, 85, died on Monday, June 18, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mildred J. (Jordan) Blouse. The couple wed on March 23, 1956. Services for Mr. Blouse are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on August 22, 1932 in York, he was a son of the late Allan and Elsie Blouse, Sr. Lester worked for the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 520 until his retirement. Mr. Blouse served our country in the United States Army. Lester enjoyed collecting and fixing old lawn equipment as well as bicycles and scooters to donate after repair. He also enjoyed gardening, mowing his lawn 2-3 times per week and watching wrestling. Mr. Blouse is survived by his son, Bryan E. Blouse of York; two daughters, Brenda J. Crawford and husband, Mark of Mountville and Mary B. Gauldin and husband, Elmer of Burlington, NC; six grandchildren, Andrew, David, Cody, Nathan, Carli and Elizabeth; four great grandchildren, Liam, Henry, McKenzie and Zoey; and one great great grandson, Sawyer; four brothers, Robert E. Blouse, Donald E. Blouse, Bruce Blouse, and Alan L. Blouse, Jr.; and four sisters, Loretta A. Burkholder, Betty S. Brenneman, Carrie M. Mitzel and Shirley A. Shaeffer. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Blouse; and sister, Evelyn M. Werner.
