Leroy M. Smith, Sr

York—Leroy M. Smith, Sr., 82, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Josephine M. (Spahr) Smith to whom he was married for 56 years. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 16, 1933 in Red Lion, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Laura R. (Stein) Smith. He was employed with Formprest Cleaners in York for several years until his retirement. In addition to his wife, Mr. Smith is also survived by four children, Leroy M. Smith, Jr., of York, Roxanne F. Smith of York, Philip F. Smith of Wellsville and James A. Smith of York; two brothers, Donald Smith of York and Kenneth Smith of Dover. He was preceded in death by two sisters. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
