Seven Valleys—Leonard O. Colvin, 80, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at his residence in Loganville Borough. He was the husband of Janet L. (Miller) Colvin to whom he was married for 54 years. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with his pastor, the Rev. Thomas E. Beck officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with a flag presentation provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Colvin was born July 11, 1928 in Woodbine, a son of the late Luther L. and Ethel S. (Snyder) Colvin. He was employed with PANS Small's for several years as a Truck Driver/Warehouse worker and later worked for Brown's Orchard. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Peter's Church in Seven Valleys, Izaak Walton League, National Rifle Assoc., and Red Lion American Legion. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap and pistol shooting. Mr. Colvin is survived by, one daughter, Judi A. Hall and her husband Barry of York, two grandchildren, Barry Hall Jr., and James Hall, three great grandchildren, Brittany, Mason and Grantley Hall, two brothers, John G. Colvin of California and Robert Colvin of Red Lion, one sister, Dora M. Peters of Florida and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Harry L. Colvin, one granddaughter, Trina Hall and one brother, Joe C. Colvin. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Izaak Walton League, 7131 Ironstone Hill Rd, Dallastown, Pa 17313.
