Leona R. Huson

YORK—Leona R. (Grim) Huson, 80, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Amoroso Wellness of York. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Huson to whom she was married for 58 years.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:00PM, Saturday January 27, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A Private Celebration of Life Service will follow. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Born January 17, 1944 in Red Lion, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (Hengst) Grim.

Employed as a Registered Nurse for 30 years, she worked in private duty nursing, providing personalized care to clients and families and later as an industrial nurse with BMY and Olin (formerly Flinchbaugh), specializing in workplace healthcare.

An avid gardener, she also enjoyed traveling, family vacations and camping. For many years she sang on her church choir and always looked forward to her monthly game night with friends. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Huson is survived by two sons, Michael E. Huson and wife, Stacey of Red Lion and Stephen E. Huson and wife, Jamie; five grandchildren, Tayler Lawson, Austin Huson and Laken, Grayson and Landon Huson; two great grandchildren, Averie Lawson and Scydle Inch; one brother, Bill Grim of Lancaster; one sister, Vivian Sauder of North Carolina and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Harold Grim.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6955 Rippling Run Rd, Felton, Pa 17322.
