WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Leon G. Shoff, 77 of Red Lion, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Emma J. (Beard) Shoff.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday September 12, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. His pastor, The Reverend Thomas R. Osenbach will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and 9-10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors by York County Veteran's Honor Guard.
Mr. Shoff was born in Chanceford Township on October 21, 1931, a son of the late Raymond D. and Grace R. (Shaw) Shoff. He retired from County Line Quarry in Wrightsville, where he was a Front End Loader Operator.
Mr. Shoff was a member of Bethlehem Stonepile U. M. Church. He was a member of Steam O' Rama Association and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Shoff leaves two sons, Leo G. Shoff and his wife Diane of Red Lion, and Andy D. Shoff and his companion Stacie of Red Lion; two daughters, Grace E. Hallman and her husband Robert of Brogue and Holly A. Wertz and her companion Chris Curren of Red Lion, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and five sisters, Charlotte Etter, Theda Jacobs, Darlene Howe, and Joyce Johnson all of York, and Teresa Dillman of Hellam. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dean, Wilmer, and Donald Shoff.
