MILTON - Leo W. Guffey, 80, died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his residence. He was born on July 23, 1935 in Penfield and was the son of the late Clarence and Eva Jane (Hunt) Guffey. On December 31, 1954, Leo married the former Yvonne C. (Mazeall), who survives, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage together this past year. Leo was a graduate of the Milton High School Class of 1953. He worked as a Foreman for Milton Manufacturing for 38 and a half years and retired in 1991. He then went on and worked for another 10 years for Wells Fargo as a security guard. Leo was a member of the Area Aging of Milton, the Milton Free Masons and was a 32nd degree Mason in Williamsport. In addition to his wife Yvonne, Leo is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law; Leo W. Guffey, Jr. of Rockford, Il, Charles W. and Rossa Guffey of Santa Teresa New Mexico, Rodney W. Guffey of Mount Pocono and Tracy W. and Pauline Guffey of Milton, one daughter; Carol Evans of Berwick, four grandchildren and their spouses; David and Heidi Evans of New Zealand, Melissa Guffey of Utah, Steven and Courtney Guffey of Indianna and Jessica Guffey and her companion Zack Smith of Milton, four great grandchildren; Johnny and Hailie Smith of Milton, Brennan Guffey of Indianna and Isabella O’grady of Northumberland, one brother and sister-in-law; Clarence and Elaine Guffey of White Deer and one sister; Margaret Marks of Bedford. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by two brothers; Richard and Walter Guffey and one sister; Dorothy Goskominski. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Avenue, Williamsport, PA 17701. All services for Leo will be held privately at the convenience to the family. Burial will take place in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
