Lock Haven - Lela S. "Susie" Shadle, 84 of Youngdale Road, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Susque-View Home where she resided since March 31, 2008. She was born in Glen Mawr on April 22, 1924 a daughter of the late James B. & Elida L. (Clark) George. She was married on August 3, 1979 to Daniel M. Shadle who survives. She worked at the former Allegheny Creamery, Jersey Shore and at the Take a Peek Inn, Avis. Susie was a member of the McElhatten United Methodist Church and the Wayne Twp., Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to cook, crochet and was an avid baseball fan. She especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her husband two sons Lee E. Embick of Phoenix, AZ, David W. (Janet) Embick of Lock Haven also three stepsons Charles Shadle of Linden, Rollie (Audrey) Shadle of Lock Haven and Glenn (Nancy) Shadle of Jersey Shore. One daughter Betty D. (Elvin) Neville of Jersey Shore and a step-daughter Marie (Butch) Bowmaster of McElhatten. Sixteen grandchildren several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lee M. Embick in 1970 also seven sisters and three brothers. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Marian K. Anderson officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
