Lee S. Woodward

TROY- Lee S. Woodward, 78, of Troy, PA passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Troy Community Hospital. He was the loving husband of Lizzie (Turner) Woodward. The couple married June 12, 1971 and had 39 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Lees life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 21st at the funeral home with Lees pastor, Rev. Garry Zuber, officiating. Burial will follow the service in Grover Cemetery. Lee was born on September 11, 1932, in Williamsport, PA, son of the late Arch and Anna (Greenway) Woodward. He was a carpenter by trade, working for F.P. Case & Sons for over 40 years, and after Bardall, Cox, & Miller Construction, and Wrisley Construction. He attended the First Baptist Church of Troy, and enjoyed planting trees and having a garden. Lee is survived by his wife Lizzie, his children: Donna (Pete) Greene of Springfield, PA, Penny Woodward of Gillett, PA, Lea Woodward of Elmira, NY, Amber (Steve) Spiak of Big Pond, PA, Sally Newman of Virginia, Regina Porter of Dubois, PA, and Robert (Aaron) Shannon of Troy, PA and many foster children, his grandchildren: Jesse Bacon, Amanda (John) Brown, Samantha (Kane) Borek, Matthew (Heidi) Greene, Dominick, Ashly, and Colby Woodward, Samantha Spiak, and Alexis Shannon, his great grandchildren: Nathaniel Shaw, Joslyn Shaw, Dalaney Borek, Gavin Greene and Khloe Greene. He is also survived by his sisters: Ida Morgridge of Williamsport, PA, Ruth Woodward of Munhall, PA, Doris Fisher of Hazelton, PA, and Alice Woodward of Canton, PA, his brother Jack Woodward of Leesburg, FL, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Phyllis Woodward of Princeton, NC, Alfred "Pete" (Dawn) Turner of Athens, PA, Bill (Linda) Turner of Elmira, NY, John Turner of Troy, PA, William Turner and girlfriend, Chris Hooper, of Athens, PA, Donald (Karen) Turner of Lewisburg, PA, Richard "Turkey" (Patty) Turner of Gillett, PA, Carol Turner of Troy, PA, Mary (Claude) Davis of Sylvania, PA, Tina Turner of Elmira, NY.
