TROY-Lawrence M. Roloson, 87, of Columbia Crossroads, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was the loving husband of the late Genevieve M. (Everts) Roloson who passed away on September 24, 2005. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Lawrence's life will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday night at the funeral home with Rev. Jasper Smith, retired United Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Bradford County Memorial Park. Lawrence was born on December 21, 1920 in Troy, PA, the son of the late Glenn and Ora (Hager) Roloson. He was a graduate of Troy High School and was a dedicated farmer. He served as Columbia Township Supervisor for over 50 years. His memberships included the Sylvania Presbyterian Church, Board Member of the Troy Farm Museum and Alpron Park, Endless Mountain Maple Producers Association and Eastern Milk Producers. In his spare time Lawrence enjoyed gas and steam engines and found great pleasure in attending the Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua, NY. He was well known for the maple syrup that he and his family produced. Suriviors include sons and daughters-in-law; Ralph E. and Connie Roloson, Martin W. and Louise Roloson, Dale L. and Kathy Roloson, Alan L. and Roxanne Roloson, all of Troy, PA, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve M. (Everts) Roloson in 2005; son Keith Roloson in 1963; brother Charles Vernon Roloson; and sister Lorraine Lawrence. The family has asked that to honor Lawrence's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Sylvania Lions Club, P.O.
