Lauren N. Bajorek

Lauren N. Bajorek, an angel of 21 years on earth, was called home to heaven on Sunday, July 19, 2015. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Certified Celebrant Jessica R. Smith officiating. A visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Born in York, Lauren was the loving daughter of Ronald and Carey Bajorek. Lauren graduated with honors, from York Suburban High School in 2012. She was a member of the National, Spanish and Tri-M Music Honor Societies; band, marching band and orchestra. Lauren had been a member of the York Youth Symphony Orchestra and served as principal horn her Senior High School year. She attended the Interlochen International Music Camp in 2009 and 2011 and served as a counselor in 2013. Lauren was a Dean’s List Senior at Penn State University majoring in Finance with minors in Spanish and Music. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, Women in Business, Penn State Finance Society and the International Horn Society. Lauren loved performing with the Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra, Band, Horn Ensembles, Brass Quintet and chamber music groups. She had the honor of performing in the orchestra for the National Christian Choir. Lauren proudly volunteered for various non-profit organizations including THON. Along with her parents, Ron and Carey, Lauren is survived by her aunts and uncles, Mike-Diane, Tom-Barbara, John-Loretta, Judy-Mike, Jeanne and Susan; beloved friend Anthony Shorey; her cherished dog Casey; many loving cousins, family and friends. Lauren had a zest for life. Music and French Horn were her passions and she enjoyed every performance opportunity. As a certified scuba diver, she loved being around the water. Lauren also loved to sing and dance, had a contagious smile and wanted everyone to be comfortable and happy. Lauren took a genuine interest in people, was kind to all and a loyal friend and confidant. She wanted to make the world a better place. Maybe she already had. A beautiful soul, always and forever.
