RED LION - LaTheda (Smith) Beaverson, 86, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Rest Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the wife of Richard Beaverson. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this past May. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 6 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Born February 26, 1928 in Windsor, LaTheda was a daughter of the late Bert and Mettie C. (Snell) Smith. LaTheda was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved flowers, butterflies and birds. She had a big, giving, kind heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Beaverson is survived by a son, David Beaverson of York; a daughter, Lona Arnold and her husband Terry of Windsor; two grandchildren, Justin Arnold and his wife Tammy of Red Lion and Jared Arnold of Red Lion and three great grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Amber Arnold. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clayton, Wilbert and Richard Smith and two sisters, Alverta Rider and Bernice Shenberger.
