TROY- LaRue T. Crandle, 78, of Troy, PA, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was the loving husband of Joan L. (Page) Crandle. The couple married on December 3, 1955 and had 53 happy years together. LaRue was born on April 29, 1931 in Grover, PA, son of the late James and Hazel (McKee) Crandle. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. LaRue was a self-employed carpenter in the Troy area for over 50 years, and enjoyed gardening and hunting. LaRue is survived by his loving wife Joan, his children: Dennis (Cindy) Crandle of Sylvania, Pamela (Wade) Morgan of Troy, Calvin (Janet) Crandle of Farmers Valley, and Patty Crandle of Troy, his grandchildren: Jesse Crandle, Travis Morgan, Bradley Morgan, Tyler Crandle, and Cody Crandle, his sisters: Marjorie (Max) Thomas of Livonia, NY, Helen Ayres of Canton, and Phyllis Arnold of Kissimmee, FL, along with several nieces and nephews. LaRue was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gerald Crandle, and his brothers-in-law: Lanier Ayres and Dennis Arnold. Services will be private and at the convenience of LaRue's family.
