Larry R. Olewiler

Larry R. Olewiler, 78, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his residence in York Township. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Donald K. Alspaugh of White Rose Hospice. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Windsor Cemetery. Born January 6, 1940 in (Windsor), he was a son of the late Walter and Lola (Hoke) Olewiler. He was employed as a machine operator with Caterpillar for 24 years and previously worked at Tobacco New Form for 15 years. An avid collector of antiques, he attended shows, buying and selling items for several decades. He specialized in collecting Carnival Glass and over the years acquired a fine assortment. He also loved spending time at Hollywood Casino playing the slots. Mr. Olewiler is survived by one niece, Rae Lynn Eppley of York and two nephews, Bartley Olewiler of Red Lion and Sheldon Olewiler of Windsor. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marlin and Donald Olewiler.
