Larry R. Kauffman

BROGUE- Larry R. Kauffman, 71, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Posey) Kauffman. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary February 18th of this year. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11 AM at Guinston Presbyterian Church, 14130 Guinston Forge Road, Airville, with The Reverend Daniel R. Moore officiating. Viewings will be from 6- 8 PM on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and Tuesday from 10- 11 AM at the church. Burial will be in Guinston Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born March 23, 1943 in Chanceford Township, Larry was a son of the late Clyde and Ella (Boyd) Kauffman. He worked as a mason all his life, retiring after 15 years of employment with Austin Masonry. Larry was a hardworking man who loved his family and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting and going to his cabin in the mountains. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kauffman is survived by two sons, Todd Kauffman of Brogue and Troy Kauffman of Brogue; a granddaughter, Tiffany Kauffman of Red Lion; and two sisters, Connie Druck and Shelby Almoney. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Kauffman; five brothers, Charles, Donald, Dean, Ralph and Robert Kauffman; and two sisters, Beulah Axe and Audrey Markel.
