Larry L. Wilson, Sr

York—Larry L. Wilson, Sr., 66, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care—Mt. Joy. He was the husband of Anna M. (Barnhart) Wilson to whom he was married for 45 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born July 4, 1949 in York, he was a son of the late Clifford and Grace (Barshinger) Wilson. He was employed with York International for 33 years as an assembler and also worked as an over the road truck driver for several years. Larry served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Dallastown American Legion—Post 605. He was also a life member of the Victory Athletic Assoc., and enjoyed racing at the former US 30 Dragway. In addition to his wife, Mr. Wilson is also survived by one son, Larry L. Wilson, Jr., of Jacobus; one daughter, Dennice M. Miller of Spring Grove; four grandchildren, Amanda Grace and Nickolas L. Wilson and Haley M. and Austin J. Miller; one brother, Leon C. Wilson of Spry; one sister, Joan M. Harvey of Red Lion. He was preceded in death by a sister Alice M. Smeltzer. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dallastown American Legion—Post 605, 57 W. Main St., Dallastown, Pa 17313.
