RED LION- Larry L. Moore, 75, of Windsor Township, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of A. Carol (Barshinger)Moore. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on January 22, 2018. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., in Red Lion, PA. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a masonic service at 7:45 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the church. His pastor, The Reverend Timothy Funk will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Zion U.M. Cemetery in Red Lion. Mr. Moore was born in York on November 10, 1942, the son of the late Lawrence and Hester (Leiphart) Moore. He retired as a structural engineer for LSC Engineering Consultants of York and founded Larry Moore Engineering in 2009, where he was currently working. Mr. Moore was a life member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. He was a member of Red Lion F&AM Lodge 649 and the Harrisburg Consistory. He was a member of York Engineering Society, Quarterback Club in York and Mill Creek Hunting Camp for over 30 years. He was active in the Boy Scouts early in his life and served in the PA National Guard. Mr. Moore leaves a son, Timothy I. Moore and his wife Pamela of Red Lion; a daughter, Stephanie A. Eaton and her husband Donald of Stevensville, MD; two grandchildren, Rhett and Avery Eaton; and a sister Beth Barshinger and her husband Richard of Windsor; as well as nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America, 2139 White Street, York, PA 17404.
