Klara (Sammer) Taylor

YORK - Klara (Sammer) Taylor, 80, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 31, 2023 with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Thomas A. Taylor, to whom she was married for 26 years.

Born May 21, 1942 in German occupied Zwardon, Poland, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Alois and Agatha (Schwartz) Sammer. Mrs. Taylor worked many years in the textile industry as a weaver and spare hand. She returned to school at age 50 and became an LPN opening her own personal care home for a brief period of time. Klara and her husband spent the last 23 years in the White Mountains of NH, returning to York in 2022. Mrs. Taylor was an active member of Whitefield Christian Church and never hesitated to be involved where she could. She had the heart of a servant and loved helping people. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, holistic style living, and finding natural remedies to help ailments.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children; Victor Spangler and his wife Wendy, Allen Spangler and his wife Carlyn, Licia Lehman and her significant other Michael Englar, and Robert Snook and his significant other Angel Smith; seven grandchildren, Libby Spangler, Bruce Ettinger, Barry Ettinger, Alexandria Lehman, Jamie Snook, Bobbi Jo Snook, and Jared Snook; several nieces and nephews, and two step daughters, Cynthia Cadwallader, and Laura Snyder. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her son, Michael Spangler; four brothers, Ferdinand Sammer the first, Wilhelm Sammer, Joseph Sammer, and Ferdinand John Sammer; and a sister, Theresa Miller.

At this time, the family has no formal plans for a celebration of life service. Klara would want all to celebrate her arrival into eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
