Kevin N. Hess

LEWISBERRY - Kevin N. Hess, 56, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of Lindy D. [Wintermyer] Hess to whom he was married for 34 years on March 3, 2007. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Red Land Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 3355 Lewisberry Rd., York Haven with the Pastor Stephen M. Lane officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Monday at the Church. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street; Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born February 3, 1951 in Mechanicsburg, a son of Lucretia A. [Beshore] Hess of New Cumberland and the late Norman R. Hess, he was a 1969 graduate of Red Land High School. Mr. Hess was the shop steward and worked for 33 years at ASF-Keystone, Inc. in Camp Hill. He enjoyed late model dirt track racing and served as a mechanic and crew chief for his brother on the Mike Hess Racing team. He also loved to participate in RC racing with his son, Kasey. Mr. Hess was a member of UAW Teamsters Local 776. His childhood church home was Goldsboro Church of God and more recently attended Red Land Valley Brethren in Christ Church. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Hess is survived by a son, Kasey C. Hess of Dover; a grandson, Mason Tyler Hess; a brother, Mike A. and wife Karen Hess of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Lisa M. and husband Stephen Shuey of New Cumberland; and nephews, Andrew and Stephen Shuey, Jr. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna L. Hess.
