Kevin C. Rice

YORK-Kevin C. Rice, 52, of West Manchester Township, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of Lynne M. (Schuler) Rice. The couple celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on March 31, 2012. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Full military rites will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Mr. Rice was born in Escondido, CA on February 23, 1960, son of Glover L. Rice of Pahrump, NV and the late Ann F. (Rehnberg) Rice. He retired from the US Army after serving 20 years and then worked as a civilian for the Department of the Army, serving tours in Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. Mr. Rice was a member of Shiloh American Legion. He was an avid golfer and a die-hard San Diego Chargers fan. Mr. Rice leaves two sons, Christopher Rice of Etters and Kevin C. Rice, Jr. at home; two daughters, Renee Rice and her husband Anton Delchev of Cypress, TX and Heather Rice at home; three brothers, Laird Rice, Jeff Rice, and Tim Rice; and a sister, Kathy Wilson Rice.
