Kermit E. "Kerm" Pomraning

YORK- Kermit E. “Kerm” Pomraning, 67, died on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at York Hospital from complications of a heart attack. He was the husband of Debra A. (Hartlaub) Pomraning, to whom he was married for 26 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Born on July 14, 1948 in Dallastown, he was the son of the late Elmer and Janet (Tyson) Pomraning. Kerm was a 1966 graduate of Dallastown High School. Kermit worked for Paul Smith Builders, Hildebrand Pontiac, Inc. and most recently was a self employed house painter. Mr. Pomraning enjoyed watching NASCAR, bird watching, visiting lighthouses and traveling to Ocean City, MD with his wife. He also loved his cats, Tabby and Sammie. Along with his wife, Debra, Kermit is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions may be made to any animal rescue organization in Kermit’s memory.
