WINDSOR - Kenneth W. Beaverson, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy (Loder) Beaverson to whom he was married 49 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Reverend Dr. Leon C. Via III officiating. Viewings will be from 6-9 PM on Friday and 9-10 AM on Saturday. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Dallastown American Legion Honor Guard. Born June 27, 1939 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Walter K. and Mary R. (Smith) Beaverson. Kenneth was a truck driver for Eckert Trucking Inc. and later for McCrory’s Department Store for 29 years until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Beaverson served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Beaverson was a member of the Dallastown Legion Post 605, Hellam VFW Post 7045, Hawks Gunning Club, Viking Athletic Association, and the 13th Ward. Kenneth enjoyed watching NASCAR and attending dirt track racing. In addition to his wife, Dorothy, Kenneth is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Beaverson Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Red Lion and Shane L. Beaverson of Windsor Twp.; three granddaughters; five great grand children; a brother Clayton Beaverson of York New Salem; a sister Margaret Haugh of York and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Hospice, 1412 Sixth Avenue, York, PA 17403 or a charity of your choice.
