Kenneth T. Ellsworth Hibner

YORK - Kenneth T. Hibner, 77, of Thomasville, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Betty L. (Berkheimer) Hibner with whom he shared 58 years. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Harmony Grove Community Church, 6390 Harmony Grove Road, Dover, with her pastor, The Rev. Nathan W. Walker officiating. Burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hibner was born December 6, 1930, the son of the late George Washington Spangler and Alice Mae (Crist) Hibner. He was a former employee of York Shipley for over 35 years until his retirement. Mr. Hibner was a member of Harmony Grove Community Church. He was also a member and President of the Bible Tract Fellowship. Mr. Hibner enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Penn State fan. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hibner is survived by a son, David Kenneth Hibner and wife Tiffany of Thomasville; four daughters, Patti-Jo Hibner-Dietz and husband James of York, Carol Lee Roberts of Bowie, MD., Barbara Ann Toomey and husband Rodney of York, and Judy Kay Toomey and husband Philip of Mt. Wolf; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and two more great grandchildren are expected February 2 and 10 of 2009. He was preceded in death by a sister Betty Easterday.
