MILTON - Kenneth S. “Kenny” Webb, 98, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. Kenneth was married to the late Verna E. (Mincemoyer) who had died in 1991. They had celebrated 50 years of marriage before her death. Kenneth was born on May 25, 1916 in Turkey Hill and was the son of the late William Curtis and Beatrice L. (Dewald) Webb. He was a veteran of the US Army serving the 85th Infantry Division, 339th Infantry Regiment-Company K, Second Squad during WWII and was injured on Hill 69 in Tremensouli, Italy and received the Purple Heart Award. He was the owner of the “Milton Glass Company” from 1948 - 1980. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton, Kiwanis, Masonic Temple and American Legion Post #71. He was a Charter Member and Past Commander of the Turbotville VFW Post #8206 and was a Charter Member and past President of the Whildede Shots Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and the “Phillies”. Kenneth is survived by one son; Frank J. Webb of Milton, two granddaughters; Juliet A. “Julie” Scarmack and her husband Tony and Courtney B. Dylewski and her husband Matthew, all of Erie, four great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two brothers; Harold Webb of Watsontown and Robert “Bob” Webb of Muncy, two sisters; Clara Murray and Helen Miller, both of Hughesville and 11 nieces and 15 nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Percy, Dennis and William Webb and two sisters; Dorothy Weaver and Lois Webb. There will be a public viewing 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton and again from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 with the funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Patricia Pittsnogle will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
