YORK - Kenneth R. Park, 59, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Penn State Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was the husband of Lana J. [Dick] Park with whom he was married for 37 years. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Bethlehem (Stonepile) United Methodist Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Road, Red Lion with his pastor, Rev. Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Full Military Rites provided by York County Veteran's Honor Guard. Viewings will be from 7 to 9:00 PM Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and from 10-11:00 AM Wednesday at the Church. Born February 18, 1947 in Huntingdon, PA a son of the late Harry T. and Maude S. [Simmons] Park, he worked at LMA in Lancaster and prior to that had been the controller for Top Flight Corp. for 31 years. He was a member at Bethlehem [Stonepile] U. M. Church; had served as past president of the board and a coach for EYC Baseball; coached York Little League Baseball. He was a Civil War buff and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and had been a former Boy Scouts of America Troop leader. Mr. Park was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Park is survived by a son, Douglas B. and wife Brooke Park of Red Lion; two daughters, Melissa A. and husband John Peyser of York and Heather C. Park-Hubb and husband Randy Hubb of York; seven grandchildren, Brian, Kierstan, and Emaleigh Park, Mackenzie Park-Hubb, Samantha Park-Hubb, and Andrew and Eleanor Peyser; four brothers, David N. and Larry E. Park both of Chambersburg, Donald L. Park of Dallastown, and Thomas G. Park of Red Lion. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry T. Park, Jr.; and two sisters, Charlotte Tolbert and Catherine Cuicci. Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077.
