Kenneth R. Oerman, Jr.

RED LION- Kenneth R. Oerman, Jr., 72, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Manor Care Kingston Ct. He was the husband of Mildred I. (Leiphart) Oerman. The couple wed on January 28, 1961. A celebration of life tribute service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mr. Oerman was born on April 12, 1939 in Hopewell Twp., the son of the late Kenneth R. and Hilda E. (Yeager) Oerman, Sr. Kenneth worked as a forklift operator for the former Motter Printing Press Co. Mr. Oerman was a member of the Lake Clarke Rescue Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. Along with his wife, Mildred, Mr. Oerman is survived by two sons, Tommy R. Oerman and his wife Shirley of Lower Windsor Twp. and Steve L. Oerman and his wife, Juanita of Red Lion; a daughter, Kathy S. Hartzell and her husband, Greg of East Prospect; six grandchildren, Walter, Daron, Joshua, Timothy, Lisa and Ashley; a great grandson, Quinton; and three sisters, Nancy Lehr of Yorkana, Carolyn Hahn of Bainbridge and Marguerite Scott of Dallastown.
