York—Kenneth R. Lehr, 85, passed away on Thursday, September 15th at his residence after several years of Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born June 12, 1931 in York, to the late Ivan R. and Esther M. (Oerman) Lehr. He grew up in Dover Township and graduated from Dover High School in 1949. Belvoir, VA and in CA before being sent to Japan and Korea where he spent 16 months during and after the Korean War helping to construct roads and help build Freedom Village, the camp to exchange prisoners of war. He worked for 31 years at York Box and Pallet Corp and retired from Grinnell Corp in Columbia.
