Kenneth R. Humphreys

YORK – Kenneth R. Humphreys, 78, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his home. Surrounded by family and friends. He was the husband of Marsha A. (Corwell) Humphreys with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on October 4, 2024.

 A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be announced for a later date in October. The service will be held at the Gladfelter Center at SpiriTrust Lutheran Village, Sprenkle Drive, 1802 Folkemer Circle, York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.

 Born March 21, 1946 in Lancaster, the son of the late William E. and Betty Lou (Bomberger) Humphreys; he was a 1964 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and earned his Associate Degree from Hahneman University in Philadelphia. Mr. Humphreys started his career as a Radiologic Technologist at Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg. He then was Chief Technologist and an Administrator of the Radiology Department at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia; where he worked until he retired after 40 years of service. Mr Humphreys enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time at Long Beach Island, NJ; but most importantly loved spending his free time with his family. 

 In addition to his wife Marsha, Mr. Humphreys is survived by a daughter, Stephanie A. and husband, Thomas Donahue of Hatboro, PA; a son, Marc R. and wife, Linda Humphreys of Hatboro, PA.; three grandchildren, Connor Donahue and fiancée Katelyn Tyrell, Paige Humphreys, and Chase Humphreys.
