Kenneth N. Keefer Jr.

Dillsburg—Kenneth N. Keefer, 66, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara E. (Bricker) Keefer. The couple celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary April 11th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 P.M., Monday, October 24, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with Rev. Dr. Paul Stambaugh officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-7 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born August 8, 1945 in York, he was a son of the late Edith A. (Smith) and Kenneth N. Keefer Sr. He graduated from York High School in 1963, where he was a member of the football team. He started his career in investigation with Schaad Detective Agency where worked for over 20 years. After his employment Schaad, he established Keefer Investigation & Security which he operated for 10 years. He previously worked at the York City Sewage Plant. An avid fisherman, he also loved his dogs and cats, and playing games and skyping on his computer. In addition to his wife, Mr. Keefer is also survived by one brother, John A. Keefer of Shiloh, three sisters, DeEtta D. Russell and Roberta A. Pessognelli, and Donna E. Rodenheiser-Erb all of York and 2 nieces and 5 nephews.
